Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) employees rallied Monday, Feb. 6, against the impending confirmation of Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt as EPA Administrator. Pruitt’s nomination is now before the U.S. Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works.
You may email all the senators on Environment & Public Works (below) from their website. If you choose to call or email, feel free to modify these messages so they are yours.
MESSAGE TO DEMOCRATS:
Thank you for opposing Scott Pruitt’s nomination!
Thank you for stalling Scott Pruitt’s nomination to the EPA with a vote boycott! Thank you for standing up for families across the nation by opposing his nomination!
Our children’s health is at stake. An EPA run by Scott Pruitt means more pollution, more asthma attacks, more premature deaths, and more mercury poisoning. Since Rex Tillerson is now Secretary of State, adding Pruitt to Trump’s cabinet puts the stability of our planet in danger.
I strongly urge you to continue doing whatever you can to protect families across the nation by opposing this nomination.
MESSAGE TO REPUBLICANS:
Help make the GOP great again! Please oppose Scott Pruitt’s nomination!
Help make the GOP great again — and respected! Please oppose Scott Pruitt’s nomination!
EPA, originally a Republican idea, was proposed by President Richard Nixon. But Scott Pruitt describes himself as “a leading advocate against the EPA’s activist agenda.” Instead of protecting the health, clean air and water of his constituents, he allows big polluters to do whatever they want in his state.
I strongly urge you to stand up for families across the nation and oppose Scott Pruitt’s nomination!
