Bans off our Bodies

In solidarity with Women’s March Blue Wave, Grayson County activists held a Sister March in Sherman on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at the Courthouse on Houston St

People deserve the power and freedom to make their own personal reproductive health care decisions. 

We have to act NOW, all across the country. Together we will send a strong message that we’re not backing down. Supporting abortion access must be protected and defended.

The Democratic Party supports the 14th Amendment to the Constitution that provides for privacy rights for individuals to live their lives free of government interference and control.
From Section 1: “No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.”

VOTE for Democrats at every opportunity and for every office.

Sherman activists,  led by Austin College students, and the local Indivisible group rallied at the Sherman courthouse on May 14, the national day of action for Bans Off Our Bodies, to demand that Supreme Court Justices, local, and state representatives stop attacking freedom-preserving abortion legislation by overturning Roe v. Wade.
