April 15, San Antonio Mayor Julián Castro took on Sen. Dan Patrick in a debate over the future of immigration in our state and country.

Dan Patrick has spent his entire career in the Senate attacking immigrants to score political points with Texas Republicans. As Mayor Castro explains in the debate, harmful positions like Patrick’s hurt the Texas economy and endanger Texas families.
Dan Patrick on immigration: “Immigrants are bringing third world diseases with them… tuberculosis, malaria, polio, and leprosy.”
