We need Democrats to call our Senators (Sen. John Cornyn: 202-224-2934; Sen. Ted Cruz: 202-224-5922) and Congressman (Dist. 4 Rep. John Ratcliffe: 202-225-6673, and any others you think might help, even out of state).
Ask them to help TAPS work out a payment plan with the IRS so TAPS can get their Federal grant money. Otherwise, TAPS may shut down and many people will lose their jobs through no fault of their own, and many people will lose the public transportation they rely on. Our elected officials in Washington could call our County Judge Bill Magers for info to move forward.
Please attend the public meeting on Friday, Nov 13, at 1:00 p.m. Details here: http://tapsbus.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/111315-Agenda.pdf.
Please attend the public forum meeting, Tuesday, Nov 17, 5:30, at the Sherman public library, 21 N Travis St.. We need to fill these rooms. They are being filled in Colin County and seriously need to be filled here as well, by people like you. We need to stand up for public transportation NOW before it’s too late.
