On Sunday, Greg Abbott’s surrogate defended his candidate’s belief that abortion should be illegal even in the cases of rape and incest by dismissing these horrific crimes as “minor issues”.

The fact that Greg Abbott felt the need to release a negative attack ad on TV last week was a clear admission that his campaign’s internal polling numbers look a lot like Wendy Davis’ internal polling numbers: this is a single digit race.

Wendy Davis is within striking distance of winning in November thanks to her campaign’s aggressive TV ads and unprecedented field programs.
