Special Election Set For Texas Senate District 30

Results are in. Jacob Minter defeated 3 out of 5 of the Republican candidates. The top two Republicans will face a run-off election, date to be set by Gov Abbott. 

Governor Greg Abbott issued a proclamation setting the emergency special election date for Texas Senate District 30 on Tuesday, September 29, 2020. The emergency special election will fill the seat being vacated by Senator Pat Fallon.

Five Republicans are running against Democrat, Jacob Minter, pictured above.

Early voting begins on Monday, September 14, 2020, and ends on Friday, Sept 25, weekdays only.

Texas State Sen. Pat Fallon won the GOP nomination to replace John Ratcliffe on the November ballot. Democrat Russell Foster has an uphill battle against Fallon, a far-right wing, Trump-loving Republican. Early voting for the Nov 3 general election is Oct 13 – Oct 30. Be there or vote by mail as soon as you get your ballot!
