Results are in. Jacob Minter, pictured above, defeated 3 out of 5 of the Republican candidates. The top two Republicans, Drew Springer and Shelley Luther, face a run-off election on Dec 19, a date selected by Gov Abbott. Of the two, Luther appears to be the most radical, extreme right candidate, incapable of rational thought. Drew Springer is almost as bad, but appears to be less likely to carry a torch at a Nazi rally.
The emergency election will fill the seat being vacated by Senator Pat Fallon, who you may also see at the above-mentioned rally.
Texas State Sen. Pat Fallon won the GOP nomination to replace Ratcliffe on the November ballot. Democrat Russell Foster has an uphill battle against Fallon, a far-right wing, Trump-loving Republican. Early voting for the Nov 3 general election is Oct 13 – Oct 30. Be there or vote by mail as soon as you get your ballot!
