Before the special legislative session for redistricting was wrapped up, lawsuits had already been filed, and more are expected. It’s not unusual for some redistricting plans to end up in state or federal court. For the past decade, the state dealt with the legal implications of the 2011 redistricting maps that ended up being rejected by the federal government.
